According to the latest expert analysis of exhibition industry trends, many companies are starting to learn about, and participate in, “smart exhibitions” – thanks to a range of technological developments represented by “Internet plus”.
 
In the meantime, exhibitions on the whole are starting to trend towards content, rather than size. Additionally, the focus of many events is shifting from trade promotion to brand building. 
 
However, the global trade situation is constantly changing. Outbound exhibition organisers are having to face new challenges, as will exhibitors travelling to overseas events. New business cooperation modalities are in need.
 
In emerging countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” route, there are still many exhibitions that Chinese companies are yet to take part in. This leaves huge room to develop the overseas exhibition market.
