World Food Moscow 2009: Facts and Figures of Success
World Food Moscow, the 18th International Exhibition and Conference for Food & Drink Products, took place on 15-18 September in Expocentre, Moscow. The exhibition has become an important business event for the food industry, marking the beginning of the new sales season.
World Food Moscow 2009:
- 1100 companies from 55 countries
- 36000m² of exhibition space or 4 pavilions
- 50 national groups and associations, 12 of which are new.

In 2009, the number of specialist visitors to World Food Moscow rose by 15%, to 53,988 visits over the four days of the exhibition. Against last year, the number of visitors from Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan also increased.
Representatives of wholesale and retail companies from Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Tula, Yekaterinburg, Tver, Rostov-on-Don and other Russian cities (in total more than 40 cities) discussed with exhibitors opportunities for cooperation.

69.4% of visitors said the main purpose of their visit to World Food Moscow was to find new suppliers and to monitor the market.

World Food Moscow has again shown that it is an ideal platform for signing contracts and deals, promoting products, developing brands, studying the market, and meeting retailers, public catering companies, wholesalers, distributors and media representatives.
